There's something about you he finds odd or unattractive. Maybe he thinks your pretentious. Or something you're wearing seems over the top to him--too much cleavage, too much perfume, too much make up, for example.

Maybe they saw something in you they didn't like or thought you were trying to look to good although it's the way you have always looked. Who knows it could also be your personality or maybe something a little less complicated like a boogey? Or that person could have just been gawking at you. Hmm, maybe they twitched their lips for a completely different reason...possibly thinking about something...you reminded that person of something or someone...or that person just had to twitch his lips just because.

I see, quite often, that SOME very pretty women expect men to fall over when they see her, and then she responds to him like trash. Maybe he doesn't want to play that game anymore.
Pretty women also get tired of men always trying to win them over.
Maybe he had other bad experiences with very pretty women, who broke his heart, or who manipulated him and confounded his good intentions, and his resentment is, like Freud said, "transferred" to the interaction with you.
Or maybe he just expects rejection if he tries to ask you out, and doesn't feel good about that.
The best thing that can be done is to bring it all down to earth, treat him with basic respect and courtesy, let him know you're human too, expect basic respect and courtesy from him too.

He wants you to think that you don't look good. He probably knows that other men tell you that you look good all the time and he wants you to stick around to try to beg for his approval.
