I just answered this but it didnt submit. Stupid Yahoo. Anyway I know a German guy who lived in Scotland for more than 8 years and he picked up Scots (its a language not an accent) gradually. He claimed that the first thing he had to learn to do was miss out the letter T whenever it appeard in the middle of a word. eg instead of -Scottish Water- you would say -Sco''ish Wa'er- letting the vowels merge. Scottish folks prounce the T at the end of words just rarely in the middle. I hope this helps you start your quest to learning Scots!!

See, I have the unique reverse predicament. I'm quality at expertise British. Scottish...good, I'm beautiful well with that, too. xD But it is thicker than British. It quite will depend on what variety of British you are speakme approximately? Because there are a couple of accents in that field. I'm considering you've obstacle expertise the accents round London, becuase it is very thick, slurred, adn they use plenty of slang. Maybe that is why?
