There's this guy I think is great. I've known him a year, he works in the pub and we went to college together- I don't remember seeing him there but he remembers me.
We see each other a couple of times a week, go to the movies, for drinks, just mess around together really.
In the summer, he met this american girl, and he dated her for the month she was on holiday here. I was happy for him-he's my friend, even though I like him a lot and he knows that. It was his birthday just before she went back to america and she got him a $900 plane ticket to go visit her December - March. They weren't that serious, he was a bit scared when she gave it to me because him and I talked about it.
The other night we went out for a drink, and he told me I was beautiful, completely out of the blue. In the taxi home he kissed me goodnight, he usually just hugs me. I've not seen him since because I've been busy whenever he has called. Shall I tell him how much I care about him before he goes in December?

I think you should incase they decide to go to vegas an get married in a little chappel there, what have you got to loose, at the end of the day the answers ever going to be yeah I feel the same, or sorry I dont feel like that, then you can either be happy together or carry on doing the mate thing, but if you do go back to just being mates you have to stop with the kissing and whatever else it is your getting upto with him coz its only gonna reck your head again.

ok...your situation is fairly similar to my 2nd gf's case. We were even thought as best friends when we went to same high school. Then she got a boyfriend but she knew that i was so crazy about her but anyway, we kept in touch. Then i've got my 1st girlfriend but i know that wasn't a serious thing. Then my best friend broke up with her bf and came back to me and she understood the only one who she can always trust and can be trusted is me but I still kept my loyalty to my girlfriend until she died in an accidence even though i had a chance to dump her and hook up with my best friend but I just wanted to wait for a moment to make sure if the relationship is gonna work if we go out.
So there are 2 possibilities.
1. He has just been waiting for the right moment to show you his love. So you better tell him asap about your feeling on him.
2. He was drunk and just wanted to kiss you for your kindness but you know more than me if he was drunk or not ( but 2nd option is not very likely if i were him)

I suggest that you talk to him. If you really care for him and if there is any love at all why not talk to him out of it? You shouldn't just give up your feelings for him. Will you let this new girl snatched him away from you? Believe me you'll regret it if you miss the chance of showing him how you really feel for him. Act now before it too late for you. depends on if you want him like for the rest of your life or not i mean if he is not that serious to you then who cares but if you really care for him then don't let him be "the one who got away"
cause it will be more than likely the only chance you get so really the ? is is what have you got to loose look deep inside my advice tell him

Yeah, you should tell him exactly how you feel.. You'll regret it and always wonder what if you never tell him... Take chances and never have regrets because at one point, everything you did was exactly what you wanted! Go for it.

Don't you see? He is confused and playing with you. He wants you and her at the same time. I know that this is not what you want to hear, but unless he choses you and only you, don't tell him.

Yes tell him I think he was putting himself out there for you to see how he feels to see how you would react or respond.
