crying is thought to be a trait that men don't engage in. well it's 2006. and men do cry!
your crying may be as simple as having a tender heart. there's nothing wrong with this. However, i believe (based on my own experience) that the source of your crying is depression. if you're on a medication to treat depression, obviously it's not doing its thing. you may want to ask your family doctor or a psychiatrist to: a. increase your dosage b. switch your medication or c. supplement your anti-depression with another drug to bost the level of medication in your system.
you don't need to suffer. there is help available. promise yourself that you will seek out this assistance so that you can begin to feel more in control of your emotions.
you have my sympathy!

You could be more tender hearted then most people and if that is the case do not be ashamed! Take your medication and take care of yourself. I have started using herbs with a good result. I had shingles for a long time now and I felt like crying for several months and I cried every day for no reason. Shingles affects your nervous system. Finally I am doing better. Crying and being upset every day plus having pain is rough.

Since I had my kids, I can cry at the drop of a hat. Those commercials where someone did something special,...here come the water works.
I mostly consider myself a happy person. I am a water sign and that describes me as emotional. I think that added with being a mother pushes my perception of feelings to the surface. Empaths are described as people who can feel others emotions. I think this trait may be straightened when a person goes through several strong emotional situations themselves. Mine, having children, fire, flood, tornado...
It wouldn't hurt to talk to a counselor or tell your doctor how your feeling. Especially if you have tendencies to feel like hurting yourself. You need to take care of yourself so you'll be there for your family. Keep your chin up, sister!

I think that you are a very sensitive and emotional person, and that you should try and take things not so seriously all the time.If you are depressed, then you are also stressed. Find some distractions to relieve this stress. For example, go away by yourself and do some shopping, visiting friends , talking with friends, etc.

i have problems with crying related to depression - if my meds are not working properly - maybe even needing to be changed - but the crying happens during particularly stressful times during the day or if i am dwelling on something that is upsetting me
i don't think crying on happy occasions is a result of your depression - you are probably just more sensitive than most - it's part of you - embrace it

sounds like you ahve got empathy - something many people dont have these days - you must have been taught well about emotions / felt alot of them yourself and are able to express yourself freely whereas others can hold back their tears.
