I switched it off at the socket and then switched it back on 30 minutes later and there was no picture or any on screen display.
Is there something I can do to retrieve the picture and screen display.

This is best handled by an LG AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER.

Find your nearest one by getting out your Customer Manual and calling the Customer Assistance number.

Or Look up TV Repair in your Yellow pages

Or go online to the LG - Zenith Website and look for Service there....

You should see if all the leads are connected and one hasn't come undone, if that's not the problem, then i would phone the shop that i got the t.v from and tell them the problem, they may be able to help you sort it or you can get a brand new one if you've still got the warranty for the t.v

LG 32 must be a plasma as I have heard that this is common with Plasma TV's. Very expensive price for very cheap and undeveloped technology. Luckily - you are still under warrenty unless you brought it from one of those "companies" that get them for a five finger discount.
