Personally I don't think anyone should pay those high prices for coffee when a home brew is just as good or even better. Plus I would like to add that I am involved in care2petition.com and Starbucks get their coffee beans from poor countries and they are ripping the people off by paying very little for the beans and having them work in poor conditions when they make millions. I will never buy coffee from them ever until they change their policies.if I want to spend high prices...

This is a personal responsibility issue. I don't consider most Starbucks drinks to be "coffee" anyhow! True coffee lovers don't care for all of that excessive milk, sugar, and "flavoring". It's like pouring a bottle of ketchup on a steak. Even true cappuccinos don't contain all of the excess "stuff" which caters to the average American's taste buds. I usually see very fit people at Starbucks (perhaps because it is in a College City). This isn't Starbucks fault. Starbucks doesn't make anyone consume excessive calories. That is a personal decision. However, I will agree that drinking high caloric Starbuck's beverages will contribute to one's obesity.

I do not like the taste of their coffee- it always has a sour burned undertone. I do not want to pay 3 times the price of normal coffee for a cup of sour coffee.
Their Christmas mint coffee is good- that's the only thing I ever get there.

I agree with Jafarr. I am not Paying $5 everyday for a cup of coffee. But sometimes its a splurge I enjoy. The shops are always clean, warm and welcoming. They make some delicious beverages. Again, its something I treat myself to occasionally, but I do enjoy it.

I'll tell you the honest truth from the way I see it. The day I pay $5 for a cup of coffee is the day you can call the men in the little white coats to come and get me!

Way overpriced. I don't get how all the local coffee shops suffer when starbucks are charging for a coffee the same price for a sandwhich.

i am a coffee lover, but not Starbucks. it's not just that they are over priced and insanely fast paced atmosphere when you get to the counter, it's that the coffee really sucks unless you're just going there to put all the additives in it,syrups and all. Me, I just like a nice cup of coffee.

i like the brands & variaties that they offer the costumer... but my personal opinion is that the whole system of branches (& the main company itself) is quite a rip-off to people...
i mean, seriously... why all those high prices cups of coffee, expresso, fruppacino, ...etc
the taxes may be high & also the rent of some locations... but not to the level of those prices!
i can't deny though... i like the seating in it, & its a good place to hang out with the guys & gals sometimes... also, wireless internet service is a "thumbs up" for them... not to forget the great interior spaces...
those are my opinions of (Star Buck's)... have a nice day! :)

Really very expensive even if we were to compare with Coffee Bean (just to compare apple with apple),. Example they will charge you additional 50 cents to to add the whip cream into your Ice Blended coffee compare to Coffee Bean, it is free of charge.
