A lot of orthodontists have payment plans...all you have to do is have a down payment (ours wanted $500) and then you make reasonable payments so that the braces are paid for before you complete your treatment....there is also financing available at most orthodontist's offices...

The cheepest way (as far as intrest) is to do the payment plan. Usually there is no intrest and just a small paperwork charge added to the plan ($20-$50). Just talk to the Orthodontist. No matter what you do, they are expensive, and they do effect your health if your bite is really bad. It is easier the younger you get them. Good Luck....

Only dental insurance - and only CERTAIN dental insurances, with limits.

Look there is no insurance that covers braces fully or part. What most major companies do is let employees put aside money in a medical plan for the employee to use during the year. At the end of the calendar year if all the funds are not used, they lose it. What I would suggest is to find a job and save until you can pay for the braces. This is the only option you have. Welcome to the "real" world.
