Basically Limewire does not use torrents to download stuff like BitTorrent.
Use Limewire for small downloads like lets say (1-30Mb).
Use BitTorrent for large files like games, movies etc which are (100Mb+)
*Limewire's download speed varies by the hoster's upload speed.

They are becoming one and the same. The new LimeWire beta has integrated BitTorrent functionality. See http://digg.com/tech_news/Limewire_Gets_BitTorrent and http://www.limewire.org/blog/?p=133 for more info. But for now, I would agree that LimeWire is better for smaller, popular files and BitTorrent is better for larger, less well-known files.

you're evaluating apples to oranges. they are the two used to acquire documents, yet they have been designed for 2 distinctive purposes. Limewire is a p2p customer, made for shifting single documents between consumers. BitTorrent is a protocol created to ease the load of dispensing great collections of documents. For sharing one report, Limewire (or any p2p community) is extra helpful. For sharing great communities of documents, BitTorrent is extra helpful. it incredibly is like evaluating a bike to a college bus.

Limewire is bundled with spyware, malware, and trojans.
Use either EMULE or ARES
They are safe, no ads or malicious code.
