my spirit is rum (sailor jerry especially!) but as far as gin goes try mixing one part gin with one part lime cordial (known as a gimlet after the sharp tool used to tap ale barrels or something!) and stir with loads of ice until you get a 'frost' on the outside of the glass. you can then sip from the glass you have made it in or strain into a martini glass (if your feeling fancy) This was quite popular back in the day to disguise the taste of nasty home made gin but i think they're ruddy lovely! esp if made with tanqurray in my opinion.

I like surprises , so when asked what I would like to drink I always say surprise me.
Never tried gin with coke but sounds ok.
Try Guinness with blackcurrant really pleasant.

I love new Bacardi Berries,It's gorgeous on its own,with plenty of ice,or with diet lemonade.(doesn't kill the taste,as with normal lemonade)
I also like brandy,mixed with diet coke or ginger ale,

DIET COKE INCLUDES THE POISONING "ASPARTAME " , that is a fact , and many persons got sick because of it without even knowing it is so , if you ant the article I have it , you can ask me for it " email me " , if in doubt , but Diet coke and all these foods and drinks that contain substitutes for sugar are really dangerous , very dangerous !
