Just download open office instead. It works with spreadsheets and vice versa, or get an external cdrom for the laptop.

If you have the original CD.
You can always create a CD image out of the real CD from a PC.
Then send it over through a network from the pc to ur laptop.
mount the image onto programs like alcohol 120% or something.
but these things dont come free!
or like they said, use openoffice!!!

if you only need to look at spreadsheets, rather than actually creating them, you can download an excel viewer. it's 9.9 Mbytes download. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=c8378bf4-996c-4569-b547-75edbd03aaf0&displaylang=EN
downloading a full version of excel or open office would be a rather bigger download

Open Office is free and compatible with Microsoft Office. So you can switch docs from one to the other if you need to.
