Considering Star Trek enjoys something of a religious following its no surprise. I can't think of the exact example, but in a UK census one of the (or the) most popular answers to "what religion are you?" was "Jedi".
Yes, I know Jedi is Star WARS not TREK, but its much of a muchness.

The SECOND that I see Jesus firing a photon torpedo at the Klingons I will start reading the bible... Until then I think it's best to stick to more believable fairy-tales.. like the three little pigs.... or startrek.
