whenever i try to eject it,it displays msg "generic volume cannot be stopped right now. try agin later". what is the problem?

another program will still be open and trying to use the card ,make sure all other programs are shut down fully.
if still unsure press Ctrl Alt Delete and you should get a screen showing running programs ,close any running programs this way and then try removing it again Regards Paul Liverpool UK

*confused look* I am unsure why you would be trying to eject something from a USB port. Are we talking flash memory or what?

jus pull it out and restart ur pc.
