I think you are doing really well, some kids dont have a father in their lives at all so yours are really lucky. You seem to spend quite a bit of time helping them with school work and taking an interest in what they do and what they are interested in so I think you are doing more than enough.
If you still feel that you want to do more why not take them out on your own and give your wife the odd day to herself on a weekend. I am sure that the kids will love having time on their own with you and I'm sure your wife will appreciate some 'me' time too!

Here is what my dad did when I was a kid and both my mom n dad used to work.
We had a week of holidays because of a storm that was crossing the shore, my dad bought Scrabble box and since there was no electricity, we played Scrabbe the whole week!!.
That day forward, we played scrabble or chess every weekend. Sometime after lunch. It helped me improve my vocabulary and also give that father-son bonding to take place.
Find out what specifically interest your kids,( it could be Bay-Blade!! ) and do that with them. Also think of a group-play thingie which will bring in the concept of "Working in a group" among the kids at that age and also serve your purpose.
The key here is sustenance. If you start something, make sure you sustain it and not give excuses for not doing it.

It is hard being a parent.
Doesn't matter which way you look at it,there never seems to be enough time to do everything you want.
Because your wife is at home all day,you feel jealous because of that bond she has with the children, but do you think things would be different if she went out to work?
This is what working life is all about.
From what i can gather, your children seem quite happy with the way things are,and i think if you were to change that routine you've got,it'll upset the whole balance of who and what you are.

its lovely that you are thinking about this... as yes your kids are the most important thing in your life.
you are working, the bread winner if you like, therefore it is normal for you not to see them as much. instead of feeling guilty about this though, you should feel proud that you are supporting your family. what is lovely about your sittuation though... is that you do have weekends off, thats alot of time you can spend with your kids.
i understand you need a life to, EVERYONE DOES, but the leisure time you mentioned, try and involve your kids so you can do both, if this isnt possible then, you need to balance it out a bit.
MAYBE... if you find something new you could enjoy with them, like swimming for eg; this way you can all go, and all enjoy it too. sometimes you could take them without your partner, this way she gets a break and you get full responsibility and satisfaction with and out of your kids.
one thing at a time though. what i find with my husband and my 2 year old daughter, is when he comes home from work, i may say bath her or something, BUT as she knows mummys there and mummy normally does this, she tends to play us off against eachother , which makes it harder for my husband to want to get involved, as he thinks she just wants mummy. its all about routine, find one that suits you and stick to it.
you will feel happier, it might even make your wife feel happier and your kids... well the look on there faces will say it all.
have fun, they dont stay young forever hun, these are the precious times..... x

I think what you do is more than what you could do as a parent. For all that you do, the children will love you. Although you might be away from them, physically, you must be feeling for them for quite a lot of time. The kids must be enjoying the little time that you spend with them.

the two my mum and dad labored finished time. My mom basically stopped working for the criminal maternal leave time and then went back. i replaced into never left interior the care of grandparents, uncles and aunts or regardless of. i replaced into put in a crèche (French day care) until eventually 3 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous and then in "maternelle" (preschool) until eventually 6 while entered commonplace college. I do remember my mom making me dinner each and every night and spending time with me on homework and high quality time. I relatively have had greater than a number of babysitter who cared for me while my mom labored later at night (she'd be residing house via 8pm cutting-edge). I additionally took care of my brother while i replaced into older (i might %. him up after college and watch him at residing house, my mom nevertheless made dinner and took care of homework and all) i did no longer see a lot of my dad although yet that replaced into his very own determination particularly and did no longer have a lot to do with having to artwork. He basically did no longer like the household projects that flatter having a spouse and toddler (ought to have seen that until eventually now, yet whats up). I relatively have never had any situation coming from having the two mum and dad artwork finished-time. i think of it relatively is substantial for ladies in specific to be working. I relatively have seen too many housewives/SAHM get caught in loveless marriages because of the fact they did no longer have the money to get out or be left in undesirable problems after a divorce.
