Ok. I know how strange this is going to sound, but here goes:
Immediately following a bite, grab hold of kitty firmly, put the tip of it's ear in your mouth .... and bite down softly and quickly. Not like you were biting into a burger, but more like biting into a banana: softly but firmly and quickly. The intent is to make a point, certainly not to draw blood or even to hurt the kitten ... just to make a point.
If you watch a mama cat with her kittens, you will notice her doing the exact same thing each time they nip her. That is how the mama cat lets her kittens know they've crossed the line.
The nature / personality of your kitten will determine how many times you need to make your point. My docile natured kitten got the point after only one bite; my feisty natured kitten got the point after three bites. Both grew up healthy and lived long, happy lives (16 & 18 years) My biting their ears as kittens did not scar them physically or psychologically.
Like I said, I know this sounds strange ... but it really does work.
Good luck with whatever method you choose!

I relatively have the comparable situation too with my kitten. determine you have a scratching submit, and greater than a number of, many sturdy toys. while the kitten bites you, or something else, yell on the kitten for quite. Then, cling or throw a toy and lead them to chase it. attempt to avert the kitten while he's playful or offended. shop you hands, ft, and hands far flung from him. Ignoring the kitten isn't an answer although. The kitten needs interest, so play with it. do basically no longer bypass over the suitable. additionally, never use your physique, extraordinarily hands and ft, as a toy. Punishment is likewise sturdy. i take advantage of a squirt bottle, and it works like a allure. basically remember, kittens would be kittens. provide him a while.

Make sure everyone in your house hold gets the same information so you can be concident with your kitty. When he/she starts to bite firmly pull her head away and speak the word NO in a firm voice. Believe it or not cats recognize a negative voice and a negative reaction. It does not have to be drastic just but needs to done by everyone. I have had several cats and I have 4 at this moment. I hope this helps.

Oh boy... reminds me of our son biting our daughter (both were babies). Telling her to bite back cured everything in 2 days.

I agree with mutt_buff. If you gently bite kitty back (as with children), kitty will learn that biting is not acceptable behavior.
