A crock pot is an excellent way to do whole chicken or turkey breast,(crock pot is a slow electric cooker that actually cooks the food from the inside out without boiling away all the liquids of the meat) Rub butter, salt and pepper on the chicken and place in the crock pot and add 1/4 cup of water .Turn on low and forget it ! No worrying about sticking turning or anything, Depending on the size of the chicken approx 6 hours on low and you have a mouth watering chicken so moist, for a gravy to go with this chicken take some butter melt in pan and addd flour till its like a paste, brown, stirring constantly and pour liquid from the crock pot into this when the mixture reaches the brown texture you want, heat on med heat till it starts to thicken, if too thick add tbsps of water to thin down...GREAT with mashed potatoes!!!
HAPPY COOKING

a crock pot is a slow electric cooker which costs anywhere from $10.00 ( on sale) and up. Most of them start at $19.99.
The best way I cook my whole chicken is in a tabletop convection oven. I have been using these for 6 yrs. but not that many people know about them. You can find them at www.abcdistributing.com or www.brandsplace.com They run anywhere from $50.00 on up. I pay around $86.00. They cook with air and they roast, simmer, broil, just like an oven would. They keep the juice in the meat. Very healthy cooking. No oils used. It also browns french fries, tator tots, etc. you can cook buiscuits, cakes, anything just like an oven. I will NEVER be without it.Oh and it doesn't heat up your home like an oven does.....

A crock pot is a slow cooker. That would be one way or if you have a grill. Open a can of beer and put it in the chickens butt and cook on the grill. This is wonderful.

Hi Pinks,
Use an electric fry pan just add alittle water to it & on the handle you can set the temperture then LQQk to see how long it'll take to cook.
Roaster pan same difference but alittle deeper, usually both are electric,
Micro-wave=nuke it in a microwave safe dish,
Grill it outside on the barb-a-que,
Crock pot=pot, lid, electric that you use to do slow cooking in.
I hope this helps you. Have a good day!

yes you can use a roaster.. rotisseries they do work... and a crock pot is a slow cooker... one in the same but it does not bake or roast.. you would use this to make stews or chillies or chick&dumplings.. not roasted chicken.. find a cookbook most of them have glossaries in the back of them to help you with this problem

Barbecue your chicken whole. It taste great and no pans to clean:) I use a Weber. Put the briquettes around the edge, place a pie plate in center with about an inch deep of water. place a whole chicken on the grill. Cover, the last 15 to 20 baste with you favorite barbecue sauce.
