a fren of mine is taking doxycycline regularly.. for some acne problem....i m not sure...will it effect him later ??

I have been taking this drug last two years as a means of protection in the mosquito bites where I have worked in Chad, Central Africa. It was actually an SOP of the company that each employee should take it everyday. Others have experienced a dizziness and intestinal spams which is very common with all the employees.
I have felt the same and stopped taking the drug because it is very strong. Doxycycline is an antibiotic drug that will cure malaria. It is not good to take it regulary. There must be other alternative source of medicine like herbal. Try Neem Tree/Leaves.
