rain will not wet your glasses any more, it feels kind of good. You can't swim under water with your eyes open very much, they may wash out, but not always. some real fine dust may ruin them, but usually they keep the crap out of your eyes. If it is hot and dry, the wind may make them wrinkle up and you either have to wet them or you can't see and it hurts.. They float on the fluid on your eyes and don't touch them at all. Sometimes they get dirty and blurry and you have to clean them. Steam from cooking will not bother them.

always handle the contacts with clean hands..i suggest u 2 wash ur hands every time u touch them.. i've been doing this since one year n my contacts r just fine.. and one more important thing.. always keep them moist.. clean them with contact lense s solution daily b4 applying..but if there is irritation whenever u wear them.. stop using them immediately n consult ur dr.. as this might lead to problems as severe as complete loss of eye sight.

You want to keep them moist
If you feel your eyes drying out, remove them and clean them
Do not go to sleep with them it, they can dry up and scratch your cornea
