i mean i could say that i have faith that my cat was made from a peanut, does that make it right? so why put your faith in something and expect it to be 100% true especially stories that came before any documentated history at all. should i just disregard all logic at all and just have faith that what president bush saying is right? i just dont see why having cycles of faith based decisions is a positive thing especially in these times

logic is how man was able to capture food, survive, build technology like that computer your typing on. i can go on and on about faith based decisions that were wrong, how about the faith that the earth was flat, the faith that the sun is a god?

Faith is not right or wrong. It just addresses all of the I don't knows with a certain mental perspective. Ppl need to be able to believe no matter what the circumstances. It's only by faith that anything becomes possible.
Believeing in things that for the most parthave been proven wrong is just denial.

You sound like an arrogant jerk. your right, what makes it right. but at the same time what makes it wrong. and more importantly who died and made you the boss. get over your self, do you even realize how small you are in this system, I think your just mad cause you are gonna die. however while I do not disregard all logic & dont have faith that your cat was made from a peanut. I do believe in god and that he is the most powerfull being ever. and now after meeting you in a way , I have faith that he does infact have a sense of humor. Good Enough? Bye.

I think you were trying to make the opposite question: how come people think faith can be right?
Faith does not have to be explained by reason. It is just you believe. Unluckily some people consider their faith as being "reasonable" and "the right one", when there cannot be such a thing. No faith -including science, reasons, beliefs, religion, etc- is right.
All ideas are created by humans, and cannot be perfect or right. It just depends if you believe in them: you will always think that your faith is the right one and the other is always wrong. That's the whole story about intolerance. Sometimes it's absurd what those people from middle-east do to support their religious leaders. And sometimes it's ridiculous when people think that "reason" -search for "logocentrism" in google- can explained everything.

well im not too sure bout what bush is sayin ne way but as for faith some people are not as well endowed with common sense and others just have not learned it rightly because someone has tried to teach them but couldnt find all the right words to make it fully understood and then their are some who have difficulty remembering while others are glad to forget some things but it is true that some put there faith in the wrong way it does not mean you have to follow them in their wrongfullness if you want you can explain a lil more of what ur haveing trouble with and i can help you to understand it a lil better even in these times oh you mom and dad probly told you that you were born from them before it was even documented but that dont change ne thing about the story of your birth but youve probly heard about it

You're right, faith can be wrong. Blind Faith can end up being devastating to a person when something comes along and destroys what they had faith in. I have never understood why people put faith into something just because others tell them "this is Truth". Granted, I can't prove everything I have faith in, but I can't just put faith in something without good reason.

If you assume that ONLY logic is correct, what can you actually belive in? Are you prepared to believe that ONLY what YOU believe is right? Anyone who considers themselves to be a person "of faith" will admit to questioning what they believe. It is easier for me personally to believe in a "Higher Power" (to borrow a term) than everything I see and am being an accident--our bodies, our universe, too intricate and complex to be an accident.
On the other side of the fence from you, I look at wonders like the Grand Canyon, human anatomy, and the wonder and beauty of space and wonder how anyone can NOT believe in someONE.
It isn't about what our President believes. If the next president is agnostic or athiest or wiccan or presbyterian it will not change my faith because it is based on more than words on a page or from someone else's mouth.

faith in moderation is a good thing, it can help you get through trying times, but unmoderated faith is a delusion, and I keep waiting for the government to realize how dangerous these people are to our society and do something about them--back in the eighties, when a 'church' became this fanatic, it was classified as a cult and dealt with, but now this cult has become pandemic, and I have no idea how it can be stopped
