This oftern happens in a multi cat household, they cats are atempting to mark there territory and constantly reclaiming territory, it is there way of saying, I have been here just so many minutes or hours or days ago, so I am in this territory, there are many tricks to try, such as seperating into different litter boxes, in different rooms (because some cats simply do not like using the same litter box, but to do this takes sevral days as the cat must be enclosed in the area with its litter box for a couple of days)
As far as your cats change in behavior or the other cats no so friendly behavior, it is because they are constantly on guard and feel the do not have time for petting at present time.
At the end of the day, the best things you can do for animals, not to introduce anymore into your home, and sadly sometimes the only thing you can do for your own sanity, is to adopt the one that did not adjust to your home. (sometimes this happerns, frequently this happens in any multiple household, it is difficult to introduce another animal in to the house and puts the animals and you in this situation)
best of luck

Last year my beautiful Manx cat Theodore went out for the evening and never came back. I love cats and the house didn't feel the same without one, so I picked up Lola from a rescue centre. She was very frightened and would pee all over the house. I found Cat Spraying No More on the internet and the techniques worked almost immediately. I haven't had a problem with Lola since. Amazing!
Can't stop your cat peeing in the house? Then worry no more...

In stressful situations, it is common for cats to become litterbox avoidant. Stress can totally be attributed to the introduction of a new animal to the home. That litterbox was hers, and she probably is upset someone is sharing it with her now. So now she associates that litterbox with stress, so she wants to find a new comfortable place to urinate.
For now, I would buy another litterbox. Clean all of the soiled areas. Block off the areas that she likes to go to pee, for example, keep your closet doors closed. Keep all of your clothes and linens off the floor, too.
I would then look on-line for low cost spay and neuter centers in your area. I hope you don't have 2 cats of the opposite sex, they can get pregnant pretty young. If that is the case you may want to keep the cats of the same sex in the bathroom and the other cat of the opposite sex somewhere else until you can get them fixed.

Get the cat to the vet to rule out any medical problems. We had this problem too with our female cat who has been spayed for years. She was stressed out by another furfriend we brought home. I cleaned her markings with pure vanilla extract and haven't had a problem since. We also bought one of those electric litter boxes, she uses it every time. And boy does it save my back and sniffer.
I wish you luck and really ... try the vanilla, you can even put some in your wash.

Sometimes it's because of competition with other cats. Sometimes it's because of some other disruption in the house such as a new baby or a house guest.
Sometimes it's because of dirty litter.
Sometimes it's because the cat has a bladder or kidney infection.
Eliminate the ones which aren't true and see what's left.

Yes. This is a territorial issue. Also,if you use ammonia-based products in your laundry, that is probably what is happening with clothing. It is a good idea to spay cats, because they can do this while in heat,or if pregnant,to set up a territory for their kittens.

One of two things---Get him to the vet because he has a kidney problem or your litter box is filthy, cats don't like dirty litter boxes.
