I feel that I was 'conned' into buying a first class up-grade from Virgin for a Sunday evening journey from Bristol to Sheffield.
I left Bristol at 6 30 and didn't arrive in Sheffield until 24 10- that's almost six hours. The train was dirty and I didn't get a drink until 11 30, and only then because I complained.
I got a refund of seven pounds for a eighty eight pound journey!
Anyone else had this experience? I won't travel Virgin again!

Sympathies fellow tourist your adventure is regrettably no longer a clean one. I gave up attempting for refunds from the rail approaches approximately 10 years in the past. they merely seem "heads interior the sand" variety people. at last I have been given so bored to death with it that I exercised my precise as a shopper to compliment and now fly somewhat. Edinburgh / Glasgow to London return - you are able to no longer beat it. evaluate the charges and you will see that air commute is a much greater useful decision and lots much less hardship. If my business enterprise demands me to commute interior the united kingdom, I flatly refuse to commute by potential of rail, i'm getting a hire motor vehicle or fly. no longer lots help on your predicament yet better of success!!!
