Because each sect within Christianity believes they are the only one's with the Absolute Truth. Everyone else is either lost, backslidden or straying from the path. Sometimes they take it so far as to insinuate they have a monopoly on the truth. Since this has been happening for so long, millennia, I don't see how Unity is possible now.

christianity has always been divided, those that didnt agree were put to death, now they just fight but sometimes they still kill each other. Cromwells regin of terror is one of many examples of christians killing christians. I can tell by youre reccomendation that suggesting anything other than some brainwashed quotes from the bible or some christian catch phrases will probably go in one ear and out the other......lets just put it this way, christianity has always been divided and it will never unite for if it did it whould mean trouble for the rest of the world.

If they were truely faithful to the tennants of thier beliefs, they would be accepting of everybody, and get on with their own lives.

Only people that are uncertain of their own convictions or feel greatly challanged strike out at others. Just show tollerence and acceptance of others, unless you are placed in harms way and we will have a far happier existence.

All religion is based on a belief in God. However there is no man living in a cloud to unite the religions. Envision yourself as God for a moment. Wouldn't you have one religion (you have the power) instead of so many who can't agree. So much religion/sectarian violence. So much killing for God, Jihad, Crusades, etc, etc. Our God concept has branched out into a very disgusting competitive thing with no one to tame it. The God gave man a free will excuse is worn out. There is no unity of followers of God. Religion is now a business.in disguise.

Christianity is a man made concept and religion, just because they call themselves Christian does not mean they are followers of Jesus. They are followers pf religion and false doctrine.
