'll be in NYC on Thanksgiving day. That's the only chance I'll have to shop but I was wondering if stores in New York City were OPEN on Thanksgiving Thursday or the Wednesday before?

the stores will be open, but i know from experience the stores will be packed...and the day after is good for savings but there is a reason they call it black friday - it is impossible to shop.. the day before will be a little less hectic so i suggest going then

hi CL, pass watch the Macy's Day parade & shop the day after greater useful bargins that way & it regularly kicks off Christmas, Do you have Walmart, ok-mart or purpose shops there possibly there open for business enterprise. proper element to do previously you pass finding out to purchase that day is call & see if shops would be open. Have a competent & gobble up the sales! :0)

Yes, they will be open. If possible, shop friday morning for the best prices/deals.
