it is a fujifilm. it is about 1 year old. it has always worked then one day it just stoped. i don't think it was droped or had moisture. i think something is lose inside. i just don't have the screwdriver to open it up.

you know that there is no easy answer apart from warranty.

somethings to check: batteries...new?
was the cam dropped?
was there moisture inside cam?
the capture sequence seems at fault, but to fix is not worth the bill.
sorry.

Wow I have been trying for years to take a photo like that!

Seriously though. First thing I would do is format the card IN THE CAMERA.That way the camera should be happy with the filesystem. Also, you don't say what camera you have. If it is more than about a year old, do you have a large card in it? If it is 2GB or over, see if you can borrow a smaller card. Some cameras do not like large cards.

Remove the card, inspect for dirty contacts, clean if necessary and re-insert the card.

Check batteries, if they are a few years old (rechargeable) replace them and see what happens.

Hope this helps

This looks like a problem with the LCD display, like a connection or something worse with the LCD. Take it to a shop and see what they say, but be prepared to buy a new camera if your is out of warranty. Repair costs are almost always more than the camera is actually worth.

Hey, you've had this one for 3 years and you know you want a new one anyhow... :-)
