I think it's a feeling that there is something greater than yourself, and that can be any number of things, and for the reason I think we all have at least some degree of spirituality.

This is a question that cannot possibly be answered fully at this time in human history. Anyone who says God is not real is closed minded as well as anyone who claims God does exist. The best way i can think of defining God is probably the answer to why/how are we here. God to me, can be a religious definitioin, or a scientific definition, it does not nessicarly have to be the almighty creator or whatever. God is simply the answer to what at this point has no definate answer, and as man gets smarter God becomes better, and more accurate and eventually the true answer will be learned, whatever it may be.

God is the deity believed by monotheists to be the supreme reality. He is believed variously to be the sole omnipotent creator, or at least the sustainer, of the universe. [1]

Theologians and philosophers have ascribed a number of attributes to God, including omniscience, omnipotence, omnipresence, perfect goodness, divine simplicity, and eternal and necessary existence. He has been described as incorporeal, a personal being, the source of all moral obligation, and the greatest conceivable existent. [1] These attributes were all supported to varying degrees by the early Jewish, Christian and Muslim scholars, including St Augustine, [2] Al-Ghazali, [3] and Maimonides. [2] Sigmund Freud regarded this view of God as wish fulfillment for the perfect father figure. [3] Marxist writers see the idea of God as rooted in the powerlessness experienced by men and women in oppressive societies.[4]

All the great medieval philosophers developed arguments for the existence of God, [3] while attempting to comprehend the precise implications of God's attributes. Reconciling some of those attributes generated important philosophical problems and debates. For example, God's omniscience implies that he knows how free agents will choose to act. If he does know this, their apparent free will might be illusory, or foreknowledge does not imply predestination; and if he does not know it, he is not omniscient. [5] Similar difficulties follow from the proposition that God is the source of all moral obligation. If nothing would be right or wrong without God's commands, then his commands appear arbitrary. If his commands are based on fundamental principles that even he cannot change, then he is not omnipotent. [6]

The last few hundred years of philosophy have seen sustained attacks on the ontological, cosmological, and teleological arguments for God's existence. Against these, theists (or fideists) argue that faith is not a product of reason, but requires risk. There would be no risk, they say, if the arguments for God's existence were as solid as the laws of logic, a position famously summed up by Pascal as: "The heart has reasons which reason knows not of."

Think about your question. Can you even know how YOU feel or think from one moment to the next?

As best any of us that have been close to the Creator can put into words... There are no words to describe the Creator.

The Creator is pure All Knowing energy that creates everything.
And with the Creator - Before we are born we decide what we want to accomplish in this life.

Each of us are both teachers and students - everyone, everyone, everyone. By being in a body we can have a "life" and be in contact with others.

Simply by being the observed - we are teaching.

Think of the Creator as the great Artist Creator. The Creator creates the packaging that is called a body and gives each a tiny part of the immeasurable energy that it has.

The Creator cannot take any form because it is too immense and has too much energy to be confined.

It adores and blesses it's creations and each has free will too act as it has chosen to act.

Our contract with the Creator is an opportunity for each of us to be a part of the "Life" that's story is unfolding each moment and with each breath of each tiny bit of energy that is called an "individual".

You are part of that story part of that energy that is "Life" on Earth.

You are a character in the play of the human race. Remember that you are not separate, but part of the whole of creation.

Connected at every level to every other part of the WHOLE.

The energy that you have created just by asking this one question will be felt all over the world, forever.

Learn about Physics all the proof is there. Thank you for changing the world.

Peace,
Karen

It should be noted that the majority of the insanity patients in the institutions and a very high ratio of criminals in jail have an absolute conviction that God is real. This hardly indicates that it has anything to do with mental stability. I believe God is mythological.
