looking for, though is aerie. The word aerie can refer to any nest that is built
on a high place, usually a cliff, but it is commonly used to denote an eagle's
nest, as in an eagle's aerie. The word aerie itself comes from the Latin area -

The nest of birds of prey (hawks, eagles) are called an aerie. These nests are usually built on a cliff or other high location and if you use the term "aerie" the high or "lofty" location is implied. It can also be spelled: aery, eyrie, or eyry

Even wikipedia is confused about the spelling. If you put in Eyrie it redirects you to aerie, but the spelling Eyrie is used in this article on the Golden Eagle:

it is spelled eyrie, pronounced eye ree. it is the name for all stick nests built by birds of prey, however falcons (including kestrels) and owls make a scrape this is a shallow bowl dug into dirt or pebbles where the female will lay, incubate and brood her young.
