Gino is right, Its not easy to find anything to sign up for 2 years active, but it can and has been done.......BUt you will have 6 years left where you can be called back. ALL contracts cover a total of 8 years. 2 years active,6 inactive, four years active, 4 years inactive, 6years,active,2 years inactive.

ALL initial contracts are for EIGHT years. the minimum amount of time that can be served on AD is 2 years after all training is completed and the remainder must be served in either the Reserves or the Individual ready Reserves.

i believe yes but you have a 6 year inactive time as well. if you do 4 years active you do 4 innactive so no matter what in a way you do 8 years.

Last I checked, it was two years plus training time, so it ends up being two years and some change. If you enlist for this abount of time, however, your options are severely limited, so I don't suggest it.
