I believe that our purpose is to live each day in the best way that we can. You could spend so much time wondering why you are here and what it's all about and the truth is, nobody really has the answer.
I would ask you this... What drives you? What are you passionate about? Once you know the answer to those questions, then you have to figure out the steps to making it happen. Along the way and once you do make it happen... Help a few people out who are going through things similar to what you went through.
I'd say if you do this, God would give you a great big wink from the sky and say something like, "You done good kid, keep up the good work. Oh, and read the bible if you want to know me a little better. See ya in heaven"!

God created man (adam/eve) because he wanted companionship! He made us a little lower than himself, above the angels! When we insisted, he gave us laws.. then he gave us a redeemer so that we are no longer subject to the law. He loves us and he wants us to love him and he has given us a job! We have the ministry of reconciliation. He gave us power to complete that job! He gave us one gift (holy spirit) that includes NINE manifestations so that we can live a MORE than abundant life! We are spiritually his children, and our brother is Christ Jesus. No.. God and Jesus are not the same being, but they are one in purpose, and Jesus has a job too. He is our Lord. The Bible says we can do everything Jesus did AND MORE because he goes to God on our behalf. When we fall asleep (as death is described) we stay asleep until the gathering together (that is after the first and second resurrections). If any of us are alive when Christ comes back for us, those people will change and meet him in the air. Those of us who are sleeping will rise from the dead! (Christ already rose.. and we are waiting on him now to come back for us). Then, there will be a war, and in the end, Satan will be obliterated from all existence and we will be with our Father and Brother in a new heaven/earth.. and that is the whole thing in a nutshell.
Love ya!

We are here and living because God loves us. As to our purpose in life.. he just wants us to love him, so he can bless us with his incomprehensible love. What a deal huh? He created us because he loves us and every creature he put here. Funny--- we're the only living, breathing, blue planet in the universe simply because he loves us.
Try "Purpose Driven Life" by rick warren it may help a little.

We are Gods, but are in this world because of 5 defects that we are to resole and so are separated from the supreme power every one calls God.
Our innate nature is Devine. We all come into this world with one of the 5 problems Kaam – ‘Sex’, Krodh – ‘Anger’, Moh – ‘Love of material things, 'Lobh' – ‘ Greed' and Hankar – ‘Ego’ Sit quietly and think what how you relate to any one of these things. Our purpose in life is to unite with GOD. That is the reason for creation

We are here because our parents chose to have sex and not use birth control. Our purpose is determined by nature, that is survival by any means necessary. There is no evidence that a god created anything.

I'm living, because I haven't died. My purpose in life is to live it. God didn't create me.
