We've been twice to the Monmouth Canoe and Activity Centre. Well organised, professional, friendly, minimum fuss, and well priced

There are some other centres based nearer Hay on Wye and my experience of them has been fine, but I would particularly recommend the people at monmouth.

We've used two different companies in and around Hay-on-Wye. Lovely 5 mile paddle and the pick you up at a nice river-side pub. I'm pretty sure they offer over-night trips as well. Try paddles and pedals in Hay. www.paddlesandpedals.co.uk. Also, www.blackmountain.co.uk - although we haven't used them yet.
