I'm an Indian, i wanted to know that at what age do American culture allow or the American girls feel that it is fine to have sex. Coz in India...it is not the age but the marriage that matters, if a girl is getting married at 30. So she is getting that first feel of sex at 30 , if she is marrying at 18, she is having sex for the first time at 18 , with her hubby . So no one really dares to cross that norm. Our soceity is based that way. Extra maritial or pre-marital affairs are always a taboo. How it is taken in USA or other western countries and what kind of problems or advantages are felt.

Ratio is like 65-70% will have sex by their 19th birthday.... or something like that. Could be a bit higher, could be a bit lower but doubt it.
Problems.... children out of wedlock, burden on society, disease,
Advantages: Open mindness regarding self rights, control of ones life and fullfilling fantasies..... selfish advantages but still a positive for the right individuals.
Cloked society's, dennying what is truely going on or control over others lives by a society that pitches the unwed mother and child too the street is by no means any better then a society that is more open to sexual life style
I know you are not implying that but whom does sex really effect in the most negitive possible way? It is the child caught in an impovershed single home with no future for the basic rights of life. And you find that in all societies.
Victor Hugo made that very clear in his book, "Les Miserable" when the life of a child meant nothing to those who could help.
Give that book a read. Novel written mid 1800's or so...

Oh how wonderful it would be if that was the custom in the US especially since I have a 14 year old daughter. But unfortunately it is very young I think around 16. In my day & age girls were about 17 to 18. Stick to your customs you'll be happier

my dear its scary how young 'some start' to have sex. I prefer how things are in your country.But the reaity is, by age 19 most girls have tried at least once ,here in the west.
