when can the person apply for citizen ship?
how long must he/she stay in the U.S to be eligible?

The general requirements for administrative naturalization include:

*
a period of continuous residence and physical presence in the United States (generally 5 yrs);
*
residence in a particular USCIS District prior to filing;
*
an ability to read, write, and speak English;
*
a knowledge and understanding of U.S. history and government;
*
good moral character;
*
attachment to the principles of the U.S. Constitution; and,
*
favorable disposition toward the United States.

5 years from your approval date,....the requirements maybe a medical test or i'm sure there is a USA knowledge test

you can only leave for 6 months at a time...if you want to leave more you must get a reentry permit...a max of two years.

I"m 4 and a half years away from being a citizen yay!
