I know nothing of sizing jewelery, and I am planning on getting my girlfriend a bracelet with a sapphire heart on it. I have no idea what size chain it would take, but I know that her ring size is 5.5; please help me, want her to be able to wear it immediately and not be too small; sorta ruins surprise if I ask her too. Anyone have any idea what size it MIGHT be?

Covertly grab her wrist and note how far around your index finger reaches. Then later you can measure your hand and add or subtract enough to get pretty close. She probably has small wrists. Get a medium sized bracelet, as you can always make it smaller.

That is kind of impossible to predict. Check her wrist. Does she wear one of those rubber livestrong bracelets, or something? How loosely does it hang? Go from there.

Or, take a friend/sister with similar sizing and model it on her.

My best advice however would be to just get a bracelet that can be resized and give it to her. Don't let Hollywood fool you into thinking that jewelry always fits the right way, the first time! It's highly unlikely that you'll buy one that's too small and if it is the wrong size, she can get it resized.

You're getting her this jewelry for a reason, and she'll be more focused on the reason than the bracelet. Trust me. I've gotten tons of jewelry, and though I love it all, I'd wear the bow it was wrapped in before I complained about something fitting wrong. Cliche I know, but it's the thought that counts.

Standard size is 7 inches for a woman. If it is too large then links can be taken off to fit better. But unless she is seriously big boned a 7 inch should be fine. Good Luck!! Shes a lucky girl!
