I heard of a pastor saying we should pray for better cars, houses; I've heard christians say 'you're going to hell' Jesus never said pray to me, my mother or St. Augustine. How many confess their sins? Sources are encouraged.

james says confess your sins and pray for eachother so that you may be healed.
IMO when we confess to someone we trust (not necessarily a priest, but a sister/brother in christ, a parent..we accept responsibility for our actions, and can receive prayer from them to help aid our faith)

Very, very few. I believe the percentage is higher in other parts of the world though. It's very easy for western Christians to take their freedoms for granted. Whereas, in other countries, believers are dying for their faith everyday. When they make the choice to follow Christ, they know it could and likely will mean dying or being imprisoned. Not to mention being disowned by their families. I think we would all live a little more like Christ if that were the case in th US.

Blessed Be

Hard to tell what it is, but based on our prevailing surroundings, the daily newspapers, the wars and crimes perpetrated around the world... sadly, it would be far too miniscule to even be noticeable at best, say less than 1% tops.

As far as confessions go, I can only hope that you're not confessing to some third party, like a priest or someone like that... That's NOT what the Bible tells us what to do. Read it for yourself.

Peace be with you.

May his words and works be made manifest in our lives in such a way that they see Jesus. The author and finisher of our faith. I imagine there are many true believers who have a singleness of mind and clarity in their eyes that you would see Jesus and that would attract you. Their faces radiate what they attract and shine as tho they know something we don't. I am making an observation and it is just my opinion that it is better to be rich than poor. When people look at your life and see a new car, a nice home, a loving spouse and you have your finances in order there is a tendency to want what you have. We live out our beliefs about ourselves. We are all a product of our beliefs. People will see what we believe by how we live.

I'm not sure what percentage of Christians live a Christlike life. I try my best to. I tell people that I'm not perfect, but I am forgiven. As a Christian, I don't think you should tell others they're going to hell. It is wrong to judge. Unfortunatly, we are all guilty of it some time or another. As for living a Christlike life, I think that many people have a hard time with the worldly society we live in. People make fun of me, because I'm not having sex outside of marriage, and I don't get drunk. God says not too, so I try my best to live a life for Him. He is the only one we need to be worried about pleasing. As for a pastor saying that, I don't agree. The Bible tells us not to store up our treasures here on earth where dust can get to it, but rather to store up out treasures in Heaven. All I can tell you is that we should live our live fully for Christ. God does not want us to be luke warm for Him. He would rather us to just be cold. There is no in between living for the Lord. I hope this helps a little. Good luck in your spiritual journey.

it relatively is asserted that aprox 38% of chistians residing in Lebanon... maximum all of us is Maronite ones. because of the fact 1937 ( i'm unsure with reference to the 300 and sixty 5 days) there's no longer census in Lebanon. anyhow, as lebanese had migrated a lot in the process the twentieth century and nevertheless are doing it, is nicely extensive-unfold that those that run far flung from each and every of the invaders have been christians. So, in case you count quantity the christians lebaneses residing abroab, we are a lot greater suitable than the muslims residing interior Lebanon in recent times. The lebanese diaspora is approximately 14 hundreds of thousands of pple, residing majoritary in South usa, Canada, France and Australia. Brazil itself has 9 hundreds of thousands.

None.

I say this because christians think Jesus is above them and that no one else is worthy of his status and they think they can try to be like him, but cannot.

You are right, he never said pray to him, he never said worship him. This all started after he was gone.

Everyone has the capacity to be "like Jesus", however, they don't chose to and they don't think that is possible, due to the "worshipping of Jesus."

This gets in the way of being Christ like. People did not really listen to what Jesus said. They listen to what the people said AFTER the death of Jesus.

I would assume that the number is close to zero. We know so little about the historical figure of Jesus that it is save to assume that there is no one living like him today. What we get out of the New Testament is nothing but bull, since it was compiled on verdict of Constantine 400 years after the events choosing from not less than fifty available stories about the events. They choose four that fit their agenda then and named them law. The words written in the New Testament are nothing but propaganda suited to fit an agenda of control.
Out of this we can say today that no one will live like the historic figure called Jesus.

1% and that's a liberal percentage on my part! I confess my sins. I will advocate that it's good. BUT, I don't believe in forcing that belief of mine. I just think it's beneficial to me and might be for others, so i spread the word, that's all.
