besides working at night. why do some of us like to stay up late.
for me i just like being up my dad is going to tell me to go to bed soon and all i will do is stay out for a little while and then go in my room and draw or think about stuff. I do sleep and like to i just wish every one would go to bed around 2 and sleep till 9 . on school days i stay up to about 12 or 11 and wake up at 6:45 and i am fine. i start to do home work at 8 and finish at 10 unless i have a lot or need to study then its starts at 6. but my whole family is kind of on the same time as me( my dad comes home from work at 8 or 9 so that when we eat dinner)
what time is it for you now? and when do you think you are going to bed? why do you think you are doing this? and what do you do this late?

If your dad comes home late he is un-winding from the day. If your eating dinner late then it's hard to rest on a full stomach. Sometimes when you get your body used to one schedule it's hard to change. As long as it's not effecting your day then your fine. If you want to sleep earlier then eat earlier and try and condition your body to a new habit. If it's working for you like it is then why change it.

My senior year of high school, I was usually up until 1 or 2 AM, and then got up at 7 AM the next morning and ran all day. Not a problem. Functioned beautifully.
Now, I couldn't manage that. I get 9 hours sleep and still am getting tired by noon.
That's my way of saying enjoy burning the candle from both ends, because as you age, it will become harder to do. I can hardly remember what it was like to need very little sleep. Seems very alien to my process, now.

Well, you said besides those of us who work all night - which I do. But even before I took a job nights, I was much happier staying up all night and sleeping all day. I've been like that since I was young. I just like the night time better. I think it's true that some people are night owls and some people are day people. Just the way we are I guess.

i know why i do... it is quiter at night there is nothing you really have to or need to be doing..(although some just use this time to worry about everything that need to be done later!) usually everyone else is asleep... sometimes it seems the whole world is asleep ... its calmer,
right now it is 12:30 and i probably wont be going to bed till 3 or 4

A long time ago, my ancestors may have boogied all night long next to a flaming bon fire on starry moon-lit nights. This is why I am nocternal.

You don't want to miss out on anything so you stay up.
