Yes. Depending on what type of DVD you are wanting to burn.
If you want ot burn a DVD movie onto a blank DVD then there are a few softwares you can find online like DVD Shrink which also needs Nero to be able to burn onto a blank DVD. Or DVD Decrypter or if you can find it X-Copy platinum, X-Copy Express, X-Copy Gold
If you want to burn onto a blank DVD from lets say a video from a camcorder or MPEG files then you can use Nero, Sonic mY DVD works great, along with others.
Quite a few of these programs are free on the internet or have trial versions so you can try them before you buy. Hope this helps.

havent you got any dvd burning sofware with ur dvd-rw ?? if not than you can download it from the company website of dvd.
or use any peer to peer sofware to download burning software for dvd ( ie. bitcomet )
