It is no problem at all. Just date who you want. About the legal/illegal issue... that is more of his problem. As long as he is not worried about it, then why should you? In fact, I think you should consider even older men. That way, you can really be more assured that the man won't cheat on you or leave you when you get a little older. I know girls who are your age who are in love with men 40+... The man is only waiting for them to turn 18 so he can come to their country, marry them, and take them back to his home.
Good luck and enjoy dating older, mature men!

I had a boyfriend when I was 18 that was 27. I thought it was so cool to be with an older guy. After a while though, I found him kind of boring, like he was getting ready for kids and settling down.
In your case 23 is not that old, probably still into the things that you are.
My next boyfriend and now my husband was 23 when I was 18 and the only snag that we ran into was that he was old enough for bars and I was not, that left 3 years of trying to find things for under 21s. If he's ok with that than go for it. Hopefully he won't get bored staying home, or you're ok with letting him go every once in a while.
I think any age can work, you just have to be on the same page. Communicate your needs. Like I said my husband is 6 years older, we've been together for 8 years, it can work.

How could a parent NOT care abut whotheir children are going out with? yeah 6 years might not be alot after u turn the legal age .... Most o the love ull experience when u a teenager is what we call PUPPY LOVE. and experimentation... Im sure u guys will do fine .. just wait till u turn 18 andgraduate from highschool. 6 yrs isnt alot if its a serious relationship.

23 is a time when he will have finished college while you are still in HS. That could be kind of awkward. He can't take you to a bar or club, and you proably have to be home on school nights. It really depends on the people involved, but the 20 y.o. would probably be more appropriate age wise.

Its not illegal. The age gap should not matter if you like someone go for him. Choose the better one.
