i have two kenwood kac-729s amps and two alpine type r 12 inch subs

If you have the dual 4 ohm subs then you may want to sell your kenwood amps and look at getting a different amp. You'll need a 2channel, with rms rating between 500-1000 bridged (closer to a 1000 is better).

Now if you have the dual 2 ohm models, then you could use the amps you have, (although getting a good mono amp rms 500-1000 would be better), you'll just have to bridge the amp, series the sub, and put each sub on its own amp.

good first start. since you dont mention anything else. Bridge each amp to each sub. then figure out what your doing for the rest of it.
