The root word of Disciple is Discipline. A Disciple is one who follows as a discipline a certain way, usually as a follower or another, imitating their actions, learning their teachings. The word 'disciple' is used in the Bible not only to refer to the Disciples of Jesus... but also the disicples of some of the Disciples.... so... it is not a 'jesus' word specifically.
