not all good die young, just as not all who died young are good.

Perhaps you have lost a friend or family member at a young age? I think of your question the same way I think of living near the same forest for all my life. Every time I touch a tree out there in the summer time, it feels rough. Does that mean there are only rough trees in the world? Don't let your perception of your experience alone confuse you with the good/evil lives longer than the other. It's not true. We all die at some time. I would like to think we miss the good more than the evil and that is why we say such a thing to honor them.

Not necessarily true. However, the innocent are the ones who are considered both good and young. Because of this, the "good" classified as innocents are always "young" and will die that way.

I am Rational Spirituality,

according to which a Soul lives in a body as long as is needed in order for the person to complete the tasks that the Soul set itself to achieve in a particular lifetime. Harder working and smarter Souls cram in more. Statistically speaking, the more advanced the Soul, the harder and shorter the life. An example of this was the life of Christ. But, lifetimes that require purification and learning rejection, patience etc, can be very long even for advanced Souls.

The majority of Souls are, however, trial and error. They just use their opportunities and are called off when they used what they had in the basket.

If Rational Spirituality sounds interesting to you, it is available on the Dhaxem website.

In every community, any person who dies is readily noticed. And it becomes more noticeable when they are young. But if they happen to be young AND good, then they are definitely MOST noticeable to all.

And when more than enough of them --good people-- die in their youth, then it becomes a truism...

Although NOT ALL good people do die young!

Peace be with you.

God promises long life to those who live a righteous life.
Not a true statement for everyone.

Because the young haven't gained enough power to really screw things up too bad.

It's metaphorical. Our good qualities gradually wipe out as we mature...become corrupt, dishonest, vulnerable
