If you go to www.jcpenney.com and click on "window" tab up top and then click on "window solutions." Read, read, read. They explain very nicely, very helpful.

curtain are usually two pieces of fabric hung from a rail at each side of the window. When it gets dark and or you want some privacy, draw the curtains together so that they meet in the middle.
They keep the room warm and block out the light.
