I never colored my hair before...I have naturally light brown hair and I was thinking of dying it a burgandy or Aurburn color(dark dark brown) What should I do...not sure if I should get rid of my naturall color.

I seriously would leave it natural. Even non permanent color is permanent, it does change your natural hair color until cut off. I totally regret ever coloring my hair. Hair that has had no chemicals on it is so much prettier and healthier. Good luck with what ever you chose. Oh, I would also stay out of salons,they like to butcher and ruin hair.

if ur not sure about the colour and never done your hair before, go to a professional. also do the sensitivity allergy test 24 hours before colouring - this is very important. buy the november 2006 issue of glamour - there is an article about hair colour and shows u which colours will suit you which are withing the range of your natural hair colour.

burgudy is not an attractive color on hair don't do it it's very late 80's. if you do color your hair I suggest a salon but if you must do it yourself READ instructions carfeully and follow another suggestion is to slightly dampen the ends if you hair is long and porus otherwise they turn darker then the rest, good luck

Make an appointment with a reputable colorist nearest to you. It's money invested as you won't be walking around with bad hair color!

try a temporary dye first, and if you like the color, go to a pro and have it dyed. Dont try something new like that at home

since it's your 1st time get a non-permanent dye that'll fade and wash out in a few months, that way if you really hate it just shampoo several times a day and you'll get rid of it quicker
