Vitamin E oil. It's soothing and Vitamin E is literally food for the skin that will speed the healing process. To help the process, take Vitamin E supplements to work on your skin from the inside out.

Never use Carmex or anything medicated, because you'll keep wanting to use it. You'll lips will just remain dry. The very best thing to use is plain petroleum jelly aka Vaseline. This will keep your lips moist, and it doesn't have eucalyptus or anything weird in it. That stuff is just addictive for your lips. I hope this helps.

Drink more water. If you breathe through your mouth a lot due to sinus problems (allergies, deviated septum, etc), try Breathe Right strips at night. They aren't medicated and will help a lot. Use pure Vitamin E oil on the lips.
