Its like saying Bless You or Have a Nice Day
Used mostly by Wiccans or pagans or witches, its just a greeting or a good bye.
We could all use a little blessing.

It is a hallowed term... what we think is God bless you, and that would appear to be religious. So, we say bless you. In short we might as well just say, Bless. Wicca say be blessed, much the same way that a true Wicca places blessings on her loved ones. A true Wicca would never curse anyone. She cherishes the earth and the herbs and plant giving seed. That is why I love mother nature so much. You can stick your hands in her and grab a handful of dirt then pull it up to your nose and take a deep whiff. At least she won't cuss you out at the end of the day. So, blessed be.

To be Blessed, or already Blessed. To encourage people to do things that brings God's grace and love.
The opposite of Hated.

It means "may he/she be blessed," and is used for the third person (he, she, it, they). Which is why you can't say "bless you."

There are three different words used in the Bible from the Hebrew/Greek. They mean "to speak well of", to "be happy", and, interestingly, "to bless".

Just what it says...may you be blessed...don't you know when you've been blessed? I'm sure you do.

I asked God for strength that I might achieve. I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey. I asked for health that I might do greater things. I was given infirmity that I might do better things. I asked for riches that I might be happy. I was given poverty that I might be wise. I asked for power that I might have the praise of men. I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God. I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. I was given life that I might enjoy all things. I got nothing that I asked for, but everything I hoped for. Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered. I am, among all men, most richly BLESSED.
