It really should be on the lease as one of your occupants. You can stay on the safe side that way, because if you don't put him on there and he moves in you probably will get into trouble with the manager or owner for not letting them know who is living there with you. Just to avoid any of that I would put him on there. Although, be at least 98% sure that this is the right idea moving with your boyfriend. Because once you put him on the lease it won't be easy to kick him out if things don't work out. But I wish you luck princess. May all your dreams come true ONE LOVE

Yes. But he doesn't have to cosign. Most of the time the lease can be kept in your name with him listed as an occupant.

No, his name doesn't necessarily have to be put in the leasing contract. Don't be silly enough to put his name down there. If not, be expected to see yourself sleeping in the streets very soon. Just let him live in your house if you allow him to and "live off" your assets too..lolz!

yes...incase there is damage done by him its nice to have him liable!
And the Lease might say the above can live here and in that case he has to be on there as well. Or you can be evicted!

Yes it is best that yours is the main one or the first one that way if something goes wrong and he jets he still has to honor that lease. Plus if you decide he needs to go as long as your the first one on there then he has to leave.

it doesn't have to be but if he does any damage or stiffs you on the rent, you're fully responsible. If I were you, I would definitely get his name on the lease to protect yourself..

It's not necessary. That way if it doesn't work out with you two, you won't have any problems kicking him out.
