Love is that feeling you get in your heart when you see the person, love is not being able to be without that person, love is not wanting anyone else and no one else will do...

The "special feeling" is probably a different experience from individual to individual and there are probably multiple levels of truth. For the most part, it is a human phenomenom which is most likely some sort of chemical reaction in the body, mostly. People are able to fall in and out of that deep feeling of love pretty quickly, others are not.
Another one is the concept of a "Soul mate". Many people will spend their entire lives searching for a soul mate only to end up unsatisfied. Cause and effect is constantly happening and so is change, which would mean that a "soul mate", and love for that matter, is not something indefinte BETWEEN TWO PEOPLE, that is. The closest thing to what your talking about is continuos positive development, or something like that I guess. A growth and learning process that two or more people will go with that will mature the spirit Im thinking. Doesnt have to even be sexual, just an energy connection.

it's hard to describe, but here are some lyrics by Mandy Moore from a song called "It's Gonna Be Love" that I think describe it pretty well:
It’s gonna be Love
It’s gonna be great
It’s gonna be more then I can take
It’s gonna be free
It’s gonna be real
It’s gonna change everything I feel
It’s gonna be sad
It’s gonna be true
This is from the Bible, but I think it's very true:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
Hope this helped

For all you people who say "I love you" when you have no clue what love is exactly!!! What is love? When we claim that it's love that we have for someone, are we correct? Something to ponder upon.....
Are your palms sweaty, is your heart racing and is your voice caught within your chest? It isn't love, it's like.
You can't keep your eyes or hands off of them, am I right? It isn't love, it's lust.
Are you proud, and eager to show them off? It isn't love, it's luck.
Do you want them because you know they're there? It isn't love, it's loneliness.
Are you there because it's what everyone wants? It isn't love, it's loyalty.
Are you there because they kissed you, or held your hand? It isn't love, it's low confidence.
Do you stay for their confessions of love, because you don't want to hurt them? It isn't love, it's pity.
Do you belong to them because their sight makes your heart skip a beat? It isn't love, it's infatuation.
Do you pardon their faults because you care about them? It isn't love, it's friendship.
Do you tell them every day they are the only one you think of? It isn't love, it's a lie.
Are you willing to give all of your favorite things for their sake? It isn't love, it's charity.
Does your heart ache and break when they're sad? Then it's love.
Do you cry for their pain, even when they're strong? Then it's love.
Do their eyes see your true heart, and touch your soul so deeply it hurts? Then it's love.
Do you stay because a blinding, incomprehensible mix of pain and relation pulls you close and holds you there? Then it's love.
Do you accept their faults because they're a part of who they are? Then it's love.
Are you attracted to others, but stay with them faithfully without regret? Then it's love.
Would you give them your heart, your life, your death? Then it's love.
Now, if love is painful, and tortures us so, why do we love? Why is it all we search for in life? This pain, this agony? Why is it all we long for?
This torture, this powerful death of self? Why? The answer is so simple cause it's...LOVE. It is such an addictive thing that even people who are not having it wish to experience it and share it with others as well.

Love is...
A chemical inbalance in the brain that releases endorphins, triggers the 'reward' centers and clouds critical thinking/judgement. An almost drug like affliction that has a shelf of 2-3 years, though can be renewed.
a sick, twisting knot in your gut the first time you get the guts to ask them out.
staying up all night arguing, yelling, screaming and crying, just so you don't go to bed mad at each other.
having a day from hell, getting yelled at from your boss, a flat tire in the rain and going back out again just to get some ice cream of a treasured treat for your sick mate.
sitting through the entire duration of Doctor Zhivago and paying attention when either a game or a die hard marathon is on, on another network.
giving up on nearly everything you had thought you wanted, because suddenly the world revolves around more then just you and the happiness of this other person truly matters above all else...
holding back their hair each time they retch, when the sound alone has bile raising in your throat and your cheeks puffing out as if you're about to barf yourself, nevermind the smell.
hours of grooming, selecting clothes, trying on outfits and making yourself as 'perfect' as you can possibly just for that brief instant they lay eyes on you and hoping they like what they see.
Slaving away at a meal you know they'll like and cooking it exactly to their specifications when you yourself don't like the dish and likewise eating every bite of a dish they prepared especially for you, even when it doesn't turn out right.
talking for hours on the phone, because you have to hear the sound of their voice and it doesn't really matter what you're talking about. Just hearing them is comfort enough, their laughter, devious, dirty and merry. Their idle humming as they do things while on the phone and every idiosyncrisy you've came to know and cherish.
Staying away another hour or so after they've fallen asleep, just so you can watch them laying there so peacefully and toiling over whether to kiss their forehead and not wanting to disturb them.
having them be the last thing on your mind at night before you go to bed and the first thing on your mind in the morning that drives you to wake up earlier because you simply have to see them again or just roll over and snuggle up to them because you have to have them in your arms.
dancing together in the kitchen when there's no music
compromise
doing anything for one more smile
"A many-splendored thing."
something everyone should experience at least once.

i think i can answer this one... atleast from my personal perspective... luv is when u can't stop thinkn bout somebody, when sexual desires for someone are overcome by the simple desire to be near them, to find out how ther day was, to hold them and not let go, the desire for her to fall asleep with her head on my chest and know that she is mine... its when u would do anything for that person... its when u would give up anything for them... in my case it is waiting 2 years for her just so i can have a chance to be with her... love is the greatest feeling a human is capable of and also the feeling that can hurt you more than any other....
i hope this helps answer ur question...
