That story was appalling.....This is a good example of 'white' privilege.....I must agree though, it has more to do with GREEN than with white........I felt horrible for the black man and his family....
That judge, should be impeached!

Yes it does exist. That was depressing. I hope at the very least he gets out when his case goes before the board. But that is still a few years away.

Of course it does. After all, Jim Crowe was not that long ago and people who were "alive and well" during that era are still alive today - some passing the same moral values (however covert they may be) onto their children.

Duh! Of course theres white privelege. There's also the privelege that money can buy in our Justice system.
Our justice system is a JOKE. Its not about who you are or what color you are, as long as part of that color is LOTS OF GREEN. You get well-connected, decent lawyers and your set! You get court appointed, over burdened attorney's and you sitting your *ss in prison. You break the law, make sure you can "afford" it!

They abuse it and now are paying the consequences. you can ask. African Americans, Chinese Americans, Mexicans. Women and any other minority that were very unfortunately to live it and some are still living it.
