Hey gals.....Im just your average concerned high-school freshman..........Does it really matter who's taller in a male-female relationship????? My crush wants taller men, unfortunately...im shorter........is it better if the male is taller than the female???

Darling, it really doesn't matter what any of us tell you. We can't make you taller, or her shorter!
The fact is you have a crush on a girl taller than you and she's too shallow to see below her nose.
Don't fret too much..you'll probably get taller, and you'll definitely find a better woman..whether shorter or taller than you.

Well I'm Just An 8th Gr Gurl And I'm 5ft9in. I've Never Liked A Guy Shorter Then Me Because I Feel Like I'm More Mature Then Them. I Know Height Does'nt Compare To Maturity In Any Way, But Gurls Want A Tall Guy Who She Can Bury Her Head In His Chest If She Need To Cry, Or Put Her Head On His Shoulder. But If The Guy Is Shorter, Then Well It's Just Really Weird Beacuse It Feels Like Everything Would Be Opposite If You Were To Date Them. personally height doesn't really matter because personality is more important, but I know I would prefer a guy that is at least a little bit taller than me. That's not hard since I'm only 5'3".
and don't worry too much about girlfriends right now... you have plenty of time hun. I'm 17 and never had a boyfriend; it's not nearly as big of a deal as everyone says it is.

On the downside, I read somewhere that something like 79% of women won't date a man who's shorter than 5'5". Are you shorter than 5'5"?
On the upside, most guys I knew in middle school/early high school years were very short (like barely 5'), and we would get reacquainted about three years later and they'd all be something like 6' tall. So, you still have plenty of room to grow. Drink your milk! You'll be taller than your crush, it just doesn't seem like it now.

Taller is kind of nice, but I married a guy an inch shorter than me. Personality and sense of humor is a lot more important than height. The good news is, you've got quite a few years left to grow!

In general we are used to hearing that since that is a very common statistic, women wanting their guy to be taller, but you don't have to be part of the less unfortunate group in that statistic. You need to be able to see yourself as an individual who has a lot to offer. Your confidence will definitely show right through you. You have to be able to accept yourself before expecting others to accept you. If you are confident and proud of who you are size will not be as important, and girls will not turn you down because of your size, but you have to believe that. I don't think Ryan Secrest would get turned down much just because he is short, and I am also sure he can get a lot of very hot girls! Believe in yourself buddy, and show those tall guys you can also charm the girls as well or better! Good Luck ; )

It depends on the female. Everyone likes different things. I have went out with a man shorter than me. I don't think that is something important in a relationship. Don't spend to much time worrying about this.

Nope, coz i have friends having the same problem as you do,but for as they love each other they would stay no matter who's taller or shorter.
its cute to look at a couple where girls are taller coz it seems that they are really attracted to their partners attitude not the appearance or height.

As long as you find the right girl -- nothing else will matter to her (including your height). Some girls like taller guys, some like skinny guys, etc..... Just have confidence in yourself and never doubt yourself. Confidence and self-esteem in a guy is much more attractive that any physical feature!!!

Yes it matters!!! the girl should be short and the guy should be tall ! but It's up to the girl if she wants to date a shorter then her are not.I'm 4 11 and i like taller guys only! but to each his own okay.
