Yes I do. All one has to do is watch the news every evening and then read your bible before you go to bed. It's plain to see that we are indeed living in the last days.

Relatively speaking, yes. I once heard a talk given by Mormon Apostle Boyd K. Packer in 1987 to a group of Seminary-aged youth (say 14 to 18) in which he said that the Second Coming of Jesus Christ was still in the future, that they had time to grow up, have families and children, and even grandchildren. So let's say the oldest of that group - the 18-year-olds - went on to get married around 23 or 24 - so by 1992, as an example. Then let's say their oldest child went on to get married around age 23 as well, which would put us up to 2015, and then grandchildren would be born from 2016 on. This is just an example - but I estimate we have at least another 10 to 15 years to go. I was one of those 18-year-olds in that segment of the population - and I do not have children yet, so I believe we have at least 15 years to go one way or another. What is important is to pray to know what God's will is for you, and then to follow through with it, so that we will be ready for the Second Coming. Have a happy day, and I send you a gummy bear.

Mayan or the Aztec calendar (I'm to sleepy to google it)
ends at the year 2012
this doesn't mean the Earth will end it means something big is going to happen and change the world in some way. cool.
we will only know when it happens. its might be a from of Y2k though. what ever happens it would be cool to see things go down so when we are all dead we can look at each other and say WTF.

Yes. I think humanity is reaching a critical point right now. We have very big weapons and still lack the sense to not use them. It's a dangerous combination.
Realistically, I don't think humanity will completely eradicate itself, but it's likely going to do something inevitably which sends civilization back thousands of years.

No. If it were, we'd actually KNOW so, without a doubt, and with plenty of evidence. The world is going to end a long time after you and I are dead of natural causes.

Who's so blind to say that it "isn't" near? Not I.
Matthew 16:3 - "O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?"

I bet people thought that during World War I and II, too.
But here we are, sitting on the net, 60 years later.
I think it'll have to get much worse than this, and with nukes, it can, and soon enough.
:-S
Its unpredictable

Considering the more individualistic and selfish nature of the world today, I'd have to say absolutely yes.
