i have just purchased a canon sd600 cam and i been looking at reviews at which memory card brand to buy,

sandisk ultra II sd
-i heard from many reviews people had trouble formatting this card or it died out of no where, but my relative have one and it works fine

kingston sd
-got many good reviews on many sites and has a lifetime waranty =]


please tell me on your experience or your opinion on theses two cards performances with as much detail as possible thanks in advance!

The review I saw (don't recall where) showed the sandisk as being fastest in the real world. My sandisk card has never let me down.

I wonder if the bad sandisk cards you have seen were bought on ebay? There is a huge problem there with fakes. (see link below)

Kingston cards are too slow for me to use in my SLR camera.

I have used both and in reality have found little difference, sandisk does tend to be a little cheaper and as you say Kingston does have a lifetime warranty, if price is not an issue, Kingston would be the one of choice.

Sandisk Ultra II also have a "lifetime limited warranty" and come with inage recovery software. (At least mine did...)
