The find that definition one has to consult the source - The Bible;

The bible defines the antichrist to be able to:
1. To be able to forgive sins
2. Proclaim to be higher than God

Theres only one system which does just that - Catholics

anti = AGAINST or IN the PLACE OF. Christ is Greek for the Jewish term Messiah, meaning the Anointed One. The Anointed One is the person disclosed in (many) Old Testament prophecies (See Psalm 2 as one example)as a coming ruler who will establish an everlasting Kingdom of Peace and Harmony. The Antichrist is counterfeit historical figure who will arise in the Earth for a short time prior to the establishing of the true Messiah's Kingdom and will be destroyed at Messiah's appearing.

A false, "substitute teacher" to the real Christ. He comes at the 6th trump, and the real Christ comes at the 7th. We haven't witnessed the 6th trump occur yet, so look for the Antichrist to come first, before Jesus. Jesus isn't making any special "early" visits to "rapture" his church away "before" the Antichrist. Jesus will expose and "exploit" the Antichrist upon His return.

The bible says that anyone who denies that Jesus is come in the flesh has the spirit of the antichrist. It means anyone who denies Jesus as Lord.

There will be, however, in the future, one person in particular who will come to great power on the world scene. He will be known at the antichrist.

It means a refusal or a choice, to act as if God is apart from His (Its) creation; to turn away from God, and declare, "I want it this way!"

Antichrist is not a being, a person, or a monster...it is simply our turning away (which in truth is impossible) from our perfectly loving Creator.

Revelation, the last book in the Holy Bible, foretells of a man who will return and appear like Christ to non-Christians. He is an agent of evil to claim souls for Hell.

Against, or in opposition to Christ. You have already gotten some pretty good, thorough answers for this. So, I will just take my two points and gracefully bow out.
