i have layered hair and it seems dry even when i use moisterizing shampoo and conditioner. it doesnt seem silky and smooth than before i layered my hair. what can i do to get back smooth and silky hair?

its not that its dryer its just that the ends of ones hair are the dryest part or most damaged part of the hair, so since the layers are shorter than when you had it longer or one length, then it seems like its dryer now. Remember that layering creates texture so its harder for it to look silky smooth and be textured at the same time

i recently layered my hair, and echoing an answer that someone else gave you, it tends to make hair look less smooth and dry because the ends are at different lengths, thus exposing them more. to make my hair flow better, i rub on shine serum right after i get out of the shower and then i blow dry it on low and then i straighten it. i always rub extra serum on the ends, just so it gets locked in and it looks better. hope this helps!

Funny I just cut my hair today, and I have really healthy long thick black hair, and had it layered, but maybe it would be wise to go ask the person that does your hair to suggest something from the person that does cut your hair they know your hair already...

Mine's the same way. The only thing I can think of is let it grow even again. That's what I'm gonna do.

use some frizz it will make you hair silk and smooth.
